A Total surrender into the unknown. India.

Bombay is the Bomb!!

The moment I stepped out of the airplane in Mumbai I felt at home. The welcoming chaos of the city felt familiar right away. The smells, the noises, the people, the whole atmosphere just felt right. I did not know yet that I would never return to my previous life. I had just emerged from one of the hardest breakups ever and also stepped away from a nine year career as co-founder and co-owner of a very successful concept store in Brussels. I was more devastated then I actually knew I was and when I arrived on the Indian continent I felt a total relief of it all. Little did I know what would happen to my whole conception of life and the understanding of who I truly am. I know I came for yoga trainings and before I would enter the ashram at Yoga Vidya Gurukul, I decided to visit a little of India: Mumbai and Kerala.

I stayed a few days in Mumbai, took a guide around - something I would normally never do, but I was just exhausted and needed help to find my first steps into the new world I just landed in. We went around town, into the slums, some of the markets.

After three days I took the plane to Tivandrum, Kerala, Gods own country. I went to the gorgeous backwaters and stayed for a week at the beach in Allepey, at Alleppey Beach Garden hosted by the wonderful Daniela, who made me feel totally at home. The place was heaven one earth, just what I needed from life, and life provided it. If you make it there please hi to her from me.

I spend most of the time floating on the waves, at sunrise and sunset.
After two weeks it was time to fly back to Mumbai, where a driver would pick me up and bring me to Yogapoint in Trimbakshwar/ Nashik.
